Hi there! I’m Britanni Tamara, known in everyday life as Britany Thompson-Morris. I’m a 22-year-old self-taught artist, originally from the vibrant island of Jamaica, now living in the United States, chasing my dream of becoming a professional artist.
My love for art began unexpectedly in high school, when my art teacher noticed me sketching a cartoon character from the front page of my book. Her encouragement to join her class the following year sparked a journey I’ve been passionately pursuing ever since.
For me, art is more than a creative outlet—it’s a universal language, connecting people through emotion and storytelling. As a child, whenever I couldn’t find the words, I found solace in drawing. That deep connection to art has shaped my journey and remains at the heart of everything I create.
I work primarily with oils on gallery-wrapped Level 3 canvases for their durability and premium quality. My process involves blending and layering techniques to achieve hyper-realistic effects that bring my compositions to life. Through bold, vibrant colors, I capture the intricacies of nature and the raw depth of human emotions. Each piece is crafted to evoke connection and conversation, creating a bridge between my art and the viewer.
